How do rivals' chatbots compare?
MANY OTHER TECH giants have released their own generative Al (genAl) chatbots. Google's Gemini (previously Bard), built on its Gemini LLM (large language model), is currently free to use. Anthropic's Claude, built on the Claude LLM, chats with users on a variety of topics as well as writes, analyses, and responds to a variety of inputs like tables and code snippets.
Microsoft's Copilot (earlier Bing Chat) is a conversational chatbot that includes a vacation planner, cooking assistant and fitness trainer.
DeepSeek, the open-source Chinese model that caused a stir, is well-suited for complex queries, and is free to use. xAI's Grok, Perplexity (which has teamed up with Airtel to provide its subscribers free membership in India), and Meta Al are some other big names in the space.
Besides these, separate models for specific purposes such as DALL-E for image generation and Sora for video generation (both from OpenAI) and Amazon's CodeWhisperer for code generation are also available.
